Medium UN 3091 Lithium Metal Battery Labels

These Medium UN 3091 Lithium Metal Battery Labels are designed for identifying packages containing non-rechargeable lithium metal batteries that are packed with or contained in equipment.

The label is clearly marked UN 3091 and states “Contains Lithium Metal Batteries Non-Rechargeable (packed with / contained in equipment)”, making it suitable for applications where lithium metal batteries are supplied together with equipment or are already installed within the equipment they power. Under the UN classification system, UN 3091 covers lithium metal batteries packed with equipment and lithium metal batteries contained in equipment, while UN 3090 is used for lithium metal batteries transported on their own.

At 100mm x 75mm, this medium-format label provides a prominent lithium battery identification mark while taking up less space than the standard 100mm x 100mm format. IATA's 2026 guidance permits the lithium battery mark to be reduced to not less than 100mm wide x 70mm high where the package size requires a smaller mark. If a package face is large enough to accommodate the full-size mark, the full-size format should be used.

The label is particularly useful for electronics manufacturers, equipment suppliers, battery distributors, warehouses and shipping departments handling products containing non-rechargeable lithium metal batteries.

PLEASE NOTE: The 100mm x 75mm format may be suitable for use as a reduced-size lithium battery mark where the package size requires a smaller mark and all applicable requirements are met.

Please check the current regulations applicable to your battery, packaging and method of transport before use. Where a package is large enough to accommodate the standard 100mm x 100mm mark, the full-size mark may be required.

How do I personalise the Label?

To add your print instructions to a personalised product, simply choose a colour (if applicable) and/or select a quantity. Then click 'Add Print Instructions', this will trigger the print instruction screen in which you can enter everything that you require us to print on to your labels.

Will I see how my Label will look before I order?

Our website will NOT show you a preview of how your label will look before you order. This is because our artwork team create your label from scratch using the information you provide with your order and manually adjust the layout to give the best finished design.

Do I get a Label Proof?

Proofs are not provided as default, this is to ensure that we are able to get orders processed on time and maintain our speed of service. If you would like to see a proof of your labels before we go to final print, this can be done upon request. Please ask for a proof in the 'Special Requests' box provided on the Print Instructions window. Requesting a proof may effect the lead time of your order.

What if I'm not 100% sure of something?

If you are not absolutely 100% certain of anything at all, please give us a quick call on 01325 525 675 before purchase. Our Sales Team can then help you make sure there are no oversights and communicate any specific requirements to the production team. We are here to help and make sure you get exactly what you want.

It is your responsibilty as a buyer, to inform us of all requirements in your print instructions, either before or at the time of order. No assumptions at all should be made.
